Glossy two-tone silver over black paint, sharp red pinstripes, and the classic Indianapolis 500 decals that make these Pace Car replicas stand out anywhere.Under the hood sits the L82 220 hp 350 ci V8, backed by a TH350 automatic. The L82 package brought a higher-lift camshaft, four-bolt mains, and better heads, so it hits harder than the standard L48 engine. The stronger L82, paired with the iconic Pace Car look, has made these replicas a sought-after part of Corvette history. Gymkhana suspension, front and rear spoilers, polished aluminum wheels, sport mirrors, and mirrored T-tops finish off the classic late C3 performance look.
Inside, the car is pure Pace Car heritage. The interior was directly influenced by Bill Mitchell and features full silver leather with gray carpeting. The seats were originally planned for the 1979 model, but Chevrolet pushed the program ahead so these new seats could debut in the 1978 Pace Car package. You get special silver leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, tilt and telescoping column, power windows, power locks, A/C, rear window defroster, FM/AM radio, and a clean, driver-focused cockpit.
